The Bishop of Ferns has made the following clerical changes, effective on the weekend 13th / 14th February 2021:

Fr. John O’ Reilly’s request to retire as Parish Priest of Piercestown on health grounds has been accepted.
Fr. Aodhan Marken (ADM Wexford) to be PP Piercestown.
Fr. Billy Swan (CC St. Aidan’s Cathedral) to be ADM Wexford.
Fr. Jim Doyle (CC Mulrankin) to be CC at St Aidan’s Cathedral, Enniscorthy.
Fr. Chris Hayden, currently on sabbatical, to undertake the role of chaplain and part time lecturer at Providence University, (Great Falls, Montana, U.S.) for one year, commencing September 2021.

We wish Fr Aodhan Marken every blessing and our good wishes as he begins his ministry in our neighbouring parish of Piercestown & Murrintown and we thank him for his 26 years ministry among us here in Wexford Parish, may God bless and guide him as he prepares for the next chapter in his priestly Ministry. We welcome Fr Billy Swan to Wexford Parish, as our new Administrator, Fr Billy comes with a wide range of experiences in various ministries. May God bless him as he prepares to join us here in Wexford Parish.
