July 5th, St Anthony Mary Zaccarias, Priest,
(1502 – 1539).

Anthony was a deeply devout medical doctor who was called by God to the priesthood. He spent his short life between the cities of Cremona and Milan.

During a time of faithlessness and immorality in 16th century Italy, he burned brightly with evangelical fervour and apostolic zeal for souls.
