We turn now to the three most important days that the world has ever witnessed, namely Christ’s three final days of suffering, death and Resurrection. Booklets are available at the back of churches to bring home.
Easter this year as we have come to realise will be very different. As there are no public ceremonies we here in Crossabeg and Ballymurn will participate as close as we can to these events starting with
Holy Thursday. Both churches will be open and the Altar of Repose will be present for Veneration from 12 pm until 5 pm. After that Mass will be broadcast on Radio, TV and Facebook.
Good Friday: the Cross will be displayed for Veneration in Ballymurn Church and Crossabeg Church from 10 am until 8 pm – by genuflection or by a head bow, not by touching.
I will celebrate two Masses privately for the people of the Parish, Holy Thursday night and Easter Sunday morning.
Easter Water will be available to bring home throughout Sunday and Easter week. This year its best bring your own container to carry it home.
